On our website, we use so-called “cookies”. Cookies are text files that are transferred from a server to the hard disk of your computer and remain there for the duration of the session or until deletion, depending on the type of cookie and the settings of your Internet browser, and through which certain individualization information are transmitted to us.

Cookies are used to store your system and usage information relating to the use of our website. They may also contain a unique identifier that allows us and other website providers to distinguish your system from other systems and to recognize it the next time you visit.

With these functions we intend to guarantee and increase the user friendliness and functionality of our website.

For this purpose we use the following for our website:

Necessary Cookies

We use “necessary cookies” to enable the comprehensive use of this website. This concerns in particular the correct display of content.

Performance Cookies

These are cookies that are needed to optimize the performance of our website. Information about the way our website is used are evaluated in order to improve the user experience. The evaluation is carried out anonymously.

Functional Cookies

Functional cookies are necessary to ensure the operation of technical modules. Here, the user is offered improved, personal functions, as far as desired.

Marketing, Targeting or Analysis Cookies

The use of marketing or targeting cookies is also possible. These are used to target users according to their interests and thus to make the display of advertising more specific. Such information and visits to the advertising offers can be evaluated and shared with third parties in order to improve the targeting and advertising of third parties but also each site functionality. For this processing, we separately obtain your consent, unless the data is processed anonymously.

Insofar as analysis services are used on our website, this is usually associated with the setting of one or more cookies that record and track your user behavior. Among other things, data is collected about you and your system, your visit to our website (e.g. content accessed, interests, purchases, clicks and visit duration), the visit of preceding or subsequent websites and the use of advertisements. The processing of the information is anonymized unless you have given your consent to the processing of the real data. From this consent form, you will also receive more information about the data collected.

The legal basis for cookies that are absolutely necessary for providing you with the expressly requested service is § 25 para. 2 no. 2 TTDSG (= German Telecommunications Telemedia Data Protection Act). Any use of cookies that is not absolutely technically necessary for this purpose constitutes data processing that is only permitted with your express consent. This applies in particular to the use of advertising, targeting or analysis cookies.

You can prevent or switch off the use of cookies at any time by choosing the appropriate settings for the Internet browser used. You can at any time delete cookies that have already been stored. Without cookies, however, various functions of our website may be limited or not usable at all.

In addition, you should occasionally delete the browser history manually to remove existing cookies.

Details can also be found in the cookie banner of this website.

E-Mail / Contact Form

If you contact us by e-mail or contact form, we will process the data you provided in order to answer your questions. Insofar as the storage is no longer necessary, we delete the transmitted data or limit the processing. This is dependent on legal storage obligations.

If you register for our newsletter, the data you provide will be used exclusively for this purpose. For an effective registration you need a valid e-mail address. In order to ensure that the registration is actually carried out by you, we will at first send an e-mail to the indicated e-mail address after registration, asking you to confirm the registration. By confirming the registration you inform us that you agree to the registration (so-called double opt-in procedure). We log your registration for the newsletter, the sending of the confirmation e-mail and the receipt of your confirmation.

We would like to point out that we evaluate your user behaviour when sending the newsletter. For this evaluation, the e-mails sent contain so-called web beacons or tracking pixels, which are single-pixel image files that are stored on our website. For the evaluations, we link the aforementioned data and the web beacons with your e-mail address and an individual ID. Links contained in the newsletter also contain this ID. The data is only collected pseudonymously, i.e. the IDs are not linked to your other personal data, a direct personal reference is excluded.

You can at any time terminate your subscription to the newsletter and revoke your consent to the storage of data stored for sending the newsletter. For this purpose, there is a corresponding link in every newsletter. You can also unsubscribe directly via our website or by contacting us via the aforementioned contact methods.

Google Analytics

For our website we use Google Analytics, a tracking tool of Google, LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies” (see above under “cookies”), which are stored on your computer and allow an analysis of your use of the website. The thus generated information about your use of our website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, due to the activation of IP anonymization on this website, your IP address will be shortened by Google beforehand within Member States of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area.

Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide further services associated with the website use and Internet use to the operator of the website. The IP address transmitted by your Internet browser in the context of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

The data sent and linked with cookies, user recognition (e.g. user ID) or advertising IDs will automatically be deleted after 14 months. Data whose retention period has been reached is automatically deleted once a month. Further information on data protection can be found at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Furthermore, you can prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by Google and the processing of these data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

You can also prevent tracking by Google Analytics on our website by clicking this link. By doing so, an opt-out cookie is installed on your device, and Google Analytics’ collection for this website and for this Internet browser will be prevented in the future as long as the cookie remains installed in your Internet browser.

Google Maps

On our website we use Google Maps API, an online map service of Google, LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”) to visually display geographical information. When using Google Maps, Google also collects, processes and uses data about the use of map functions by visitors. More detailed information about Google’s data processing can be found in the Google Privacy Policy. There you can also amend your personal data protection settings in the Data Privacy Center, see https://policies.google.com/privacy.

On our website we use the Google Fonts font library to display the contents correctly and in a graphically appealing manner, regardless of the Internet browser used. Google Fonts is a service of Google, LLC, Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). When the font library is accessed by opening our website, this is done locally. Otherwise and only upon consent, a connection to Google servers is automatically established, usually to servers in the USA. In this case, it is possible that this may involve data being transmitted to Google, such as which Internet pages you have accessed, the access time, your IP address and which Internet browser you use. Further information and the data protection information can be found at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

On our website we use embedded YouTube videos. YouTube is a service of YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA (“YouTube”). When you visit a page with an embedded YouTube video, a connection to YouTube servers is established. This will let YouTube know which pages you visit. If you are logged in to your YouTube account, YouTube may also personally associate this information with you. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account beforehand. When a video is started, YouTube collects data regarding your user behaviour with the help of cookies (see above under “Cookies”). You can prevent this by blocking the storage of cookies in your Internet browser. Further information and data protection information can be found at: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy.
